As the costume designer for the play Electra, my theatre team and I have discuss and decided on a "mafia" look for the characters to portray. We chose this style because the play has a lot of violence and infidelity which is illustrated in many films from the past that had the mafia theme, such as Scarface. I'm already imagining Agamemnon dressed gaudily as in Scarface and maybe Aegisthus like the mafia folks in your second link--for contrast. Team needs to develop discussion of various aspects and post here!!
